DISABILITY INSURANCE PROGRAM MANAGER I
About the role
This position provides leadership for one or more field office units. Services are delivered in compliance with laws, policies, and procedures governing the Disability Insurance Program. Program integrity and proper duration control are emphasized. Staff development and budget management are key responsibilities. Marketing and communication support are also provided.
Responsibilities
- Ensures services are delivered in compliance with laws, policies, and procedures governing the Disability Insurance Program.
- Emphasizes program integrity and proper duration control.
- Develops and maintains staff to ensure proper processing of workload while operating within budgetary limitations.
- Supports continuous capacity building for all unit staff.
- Encourages open, two-way communication.
- Supports the Branch and Department vision, mission, values, and goals.
Requirements
The position allows for a hybrid telework schedule, which is subject to change under EDD’s telework policy. Employees must reside in California to telework. Operational needs, scheduled in-office days, and other activities may require employees to report to headquarters offices.
