About the role
Fills in for the Coordinator who is approved for FMLA.
Responsibilities
- Evaluates disability documentation to determine student eligibility for academic adjustments, reasonable accommodations and other services.
- Consults with faculty and other campus administrative areas to facilitate student disability related services and accommodations.
- Explains University services, policy and procedures to students and parents during intake appointments.
- Participates in orientation activities to present information on services and resources related to DSS.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (counseling, social work or special education).
- Ability to interpret psychoeducational and neuropsychological reports and data.
- Knowledge of the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act.
- Master’s degree preferred (counseling, social work or special education).
- Minimum one year of related work experience.
- Experience with case management system, Accommodate.
- Knowledge of assistive technology.
Pay
Up to 6 months after date of hire.
