Position Summary
The Disabilities Plan Coordinator is responsible for instruction to adults with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities at the Day Program. The role provides support and daily care, assists with activities and program planning, and ensures the clients' safety. Responsibilities include implementing individualized program plans, teaching life skills, and documenting progress. This position is also responsible for being a Program Specialist, which involves creating client goal plans, observing and reporting performance of clients in various situations, and maintaining a safe and clean environment.

Qualifications
- Associate’s degree OR 60 credit hours from an accredited college or university and 4 years’ experience working directly with persons with disabilities
- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and 2 years of experience working directly with persons with disabilities
- A Master's degree or above from an accredited college or university and 1 year of experience working directly with persons with disabilities
- Possess a valid driver's license and auto insurance
- Must be able to lift up to 200 pounds with assistance
- Must be able to pass a background check and obtain clearances
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Human Services, Social Services, Social Work, Rehabilitation Counseling, Art or Dance Therapy Psychology, or any similar degree and 2 years of working directly with persons with disabilities
- Association of Community Rehabilitation Educators Certificate (ACRE)
- Certified Employment Support Professional (CESP)
Knowledge
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
