Director, Strategic Planning - VP

As Director, Strategic Planning, you will serve as a seasoned brand strategist and client-facing leader, navigating complex accounts and driving growth. You'll bring expertise in brand planning, client management, and collaboration, excelling in strategic storytelling and campaign development. You will lead talent development and departmental initiatives, shaping the future of our organization. By tapping into your knowledge of pharma compliance, market trends, and customer needs, you'll be able to deliver results that truly make an impact.
Responsibilities
- Lead strategic planning for multiple accounts, driving autonomy and proficiency.
- Execute expert-level understanding of disease state, indications, customer needs, and science.
- Develop and mentor junior team members on brand strategy deliverables.
- Provide market research expertise, driving insight mining and ideation.
- Utilize planning tools, ensuring proper use in positioning, insight generation, and creative brief writing.
- Lead new business development, immersion insight gathering, storytelling, and strategy development.
- Facilitate complex client workshops and brainstorming sessions.
- Supervise and mentor Directors and Associate Directors, fostering career growth.
- Manage talent development, hiring, staffing, and performance management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or related field (preferred).
- 8+ years of brand strategy or market research experience in an agency setting (preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Teams, research tools (e.g., SERMO, Datamonitor), and social media platforms.
- Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Strong understanding of agency offerings, pharma marketing, and industry trends.
- Expertise in brand strategy, promotional strategy, and AI platform utilization.
- Curiosity, passion, and agility in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative mindset with ability to build strong relationships.
- Problem-solving, influence, and accountability skills to drive results.
Pay
$130,000 - $180,000
Schedule
Omnicom’s policy requires employees to work in the office for a minimum of three days a week, unless additional in-office days are directed by their agency or manager. Our objective is to increase this requirement over time, and many of our agencies as well as Omnicom’s corporate group already require five days of in-office attendance.
