Director, Sponsorship Sales & Partnerships
About NeuGroup
NeuGroup is the premier membership network for forward-looking leaders across the office of the CFO, including treasurers, heads of FP&A, chief audit executives and beyond, at the world's most iconic companies and those shaping what comes next. Through curated peer forums, benchmarking and execution-oriented follow-ups, we help members identify and implement solutions that create measurable value and transform how they work. We move members from insight to outcomes, so they never have to lead alone.
About the Role
We're looking for a Director of Sponsorship Sales & Partnerships to help build and lead the commercial engine that funds NeuGroup's growth. The core of the role is clear: nurture and expand our global sponsor partnerships — deepening the large, global organizations that make up most of our book by moving up to more senior budget holders and across into new business units, regions, and functions.
Beyond that core mandate, you'll take on a second focus matched to your track record — either winning new logos or growing NeuGroup for Value Creation (NGVC) — with room to grow into both as you prove out. You'll also help shape the culture of a growing sales organization — one built on productive competition, transparent pipeline, and real accountability to the number.
Responsibilities
- Nurture and expand NeuGroup's global sponsor partnerships, especially large global organizations, by mapping accounts, multi-threading senior relationships, and expanding into new budgets, business units, regions, and functions.
- Treat expansion as a distinct, measured discipline with account plans, a named-account portfolio, and clear growth targets for each relationship.
- Serve as the senior relationship owner for your accounts, aligning sponsor goals with NeuGroup's outcomes.
- Focus on either new logos or NGVC, based on your track record:
- New logos: Own and grow a pipeline of net-new sponsors across NeuGroup's peer groups, events, and digital properties, building the case for partnership around Enabled Outcomes.
- NGVC: Grow NeuGroup for Value Creation, a peer-and-intelligence motion for private-equity and venture value-creation teams, positioning NeuGroup's peer groups as a force multiplier for finance-function maturity across portfolio companies.
- Sell on Enabled Outcomes using member advocacy and documented results to shorten the sales cycle.
- Use NeuGroup's research, benchmarks, and member outcomes to build sponsor-facing narratives and proposals, partnering with the research team.
- Develop and deliver proposals, pricing structures, and multi-year plans.
- Own an individual quota; track pipeline, forecast revenue, and report performance with rigor and transparency.
- Partner to set the tone for a high-performance sales culture — productive competition, shared standards, and accountability to goals.
- Represent NeuGroup at industry events, conferences, and member meetings to build the sponsor network.
- Collaborate with marketing, member relations, content, and the sales team to ensure sponsor deliverables are met and pipeline efforts stay coordinated.
Requirements
- 7+ years of sponsorship, media, or partnership sales experience, ideally in B2B, financial services, or professional membership/association environments.
- Proven enterprise account-expansion experience inside large, global organizations — a track record of moving up to senior budget holders and across into new units, regions, and functions.
- A clear track record in at least one of the following:
- New-business hunting (new logos).
- Selling into private equity or bringing new products to market (NGVC).
- Outcome and value selling — the ability to sell the result a partnership enables, not just the inventory.
- A track record of hitting or exceeding revenue targets in a competitive, metrics-driven sales culture, and managing a full sales cycle from prospecting to close.
- Comfort using research and data as a sales tool; ability to work with analysts and researchers to shape a pitch.
- Excellent relationship building and consultative selling skills with senior executives.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including proposal writing and negotiation.
- Self-starter who can operate independently while collaborating across teams — and who helps raise the bar for those around them.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with private equity — how firms think about value creation, portfolio-company operations, and the peer learning that drives results (especially valuable for the NGVC track).
- Existing network of contacts within PE firms, portfolio companies, or global banking and solution providers.
- Experience selling sponsorships tied to research, benchmarking, or thought leadership content.
- Background in treasury, corporate finance, or related B2B verticals that overlap with NeuGroup's core audience.
Benefits
- Additional compensation: Eligible for uncapped commission plan with on-target earnings (OTE) of approximately $215,000+ in year 1.
- Healthcare.
- 401k.
- Vacation.
