Director, Sales Engineering - Networking
About the role
The Director of Sales Engineering at Celestica is responsible for leading the technical aspects of the sales process, providing support during the pre-sales and post-sales phases, and developing value propositions for both business and technical users. This role requires a deep understanding of Cloud Datacenter and Enterprise Datacenter Solutions, specifically in networking, server, storage, node, and rack level integration.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the technology evaluation stage of the sales process
- Work closely with sales and business teams to understand customer challenges and develop specific technical solutions
- Support the transition to implementation at the site upon award
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with customer's technical and engineering teams throughout the sales cycle
- Communicate professionally and consultatively in written responses to emails, presentations, proposals, and reports
- Overcome sales challenges through creative and collaborative approaches
- Understand the key stages in solution development for complex electronic manufacturing in Joint Development Manufacturing (JDM) projects: EVT, DVT, PVT, production ramp
- Understand complex test and development activities required for the design and manufacturing of electronics including PCBA, node and rack level integration
Requirements
- Experience with AI/ML applications in both enterprise and edge deployments
- Experience with standards, organizations, and consortiums of relevant technologies
- Organized and analytical, able to work independently in a dynamic team environment
- Effective communication skills with members of other teams, departments, and customers
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Industry recognized certifications are a plus
Qualifications
- 7 to 12 years of relevant industry experience, with 7+ years in Cloud Datacenter and Enterprise Datacenter Solutions encompassing networking, server, storage, node, and rack level integration
Skills
- Deep market and technology understanding in Cloud Datacenter and Enterprise Datacenter Solutions
- Experience with standards, organizations, and consortiums of relevant technologies
- Ability to communicate professionally and consultatively in written responses to emails, presentations, proposals, and reports
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently in a dynamic team environment
- Effective communication skills with members of other teams, departments, and customers
