About the role

As a Data Engineer at Immuta, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining data infrastructure solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including data scientists, product managers, and software engineers to ensure seamless integration and scalability of data pipelines.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement robust data pipelines using Apache Airflow, Kubernetes, and other relevant technologies.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and product managers to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Maintain and optimize existing data infrastructure to meet changing business requirements.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for data pipelines and infrastructure components.
  • Perform regular monitoring and troubleshooting of data pipelines to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of the engineering team's practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in data engineering or a related field.
  • Experience with Apache Airflow, Kubernetes, Docker, and other cloud-native tools.
  • Strong understanding of SQL and experience working with large datasets.
  • Proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Experience with data modeling and database design.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and experience with ETL processes.

Qualifications

  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, or similar.
  • Knowledge of machine learning libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-Learn.
  • Experience with distributed systems and microservices architecture.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
