Key Responsibilities

  • Own day-to-day HR administration, including employee records, onboarding/offboarding, and policy management.
  • Manage benefits programs including health, dental, vision, and any supplemental offerings ensuring employees understand and can access their benefits.
  • Lead annual open enrollment, vendor relationships, and benefits renewals.
  • Oversee compensation benchmarking and support leadership in maintaining competitive pay structures.
  • Ensure compliance with employment law and keep company policies current and well-communicated.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee HR questions and concerns.

Attract, Develop, and Retain Exceptional Talent

  • Lead recruiting efforts across the agency, from workforce planning through hiring and onboarding.
  • Partner with leadership to identify talent needs and build strong candidate pipelines.
  • Create a consistent and thoughtful candidate experience.
  • Strengthen BODEN's employer brand within the communications, marketing, and creator industries.
  • Track recruiting metrics and identify opportunities to improve hiring effectiveness and speed.
  • Lead initiatives that strengthen employee engagement, retention, and overall team experience.
  • Partner with agency leadership to reinforce company values and expectations.
  • Develop programs that support employee growth, recognition, and career development.
  • Help the agency understand and adapt to the needs and expectations of emerging generations in the workforce.
  • Use employee feedback and insights to identify opportunities for improvement.

Build Scalable Talent Programs

  • Own and continuously improve onboarding, manager training, professional development, and leadership development programs.
  • Create clear career paths and development frameworks across the agency.
  • Build practical tools, resources, and processes that help managers lead effectively.
  • Ensure talent programs can scale as the agency grows.

Drive Performance and Accountability

  • Own the agency's performance review process and annual talent calendar.
  • Ensure reviews, goal-setting conversations, and development plans are completed on time.
  • Partner with department leaders to improve the quality and consistency of feedback.
  • Track participation, identify gaps, and follow up to ensure accountability.
  • Support leadership with talent planning and employee development discussions.

Operations & Office Management

  • Oversee day-to-day office operations, including facilities, supplies, vendor relationships, and equipment.
  • Manage operational processes and systems that keep the agency running smoothly.
  • Cook up with building management, IT vendors, and other service providers.
  • Identify and implement process improvements that increase operational efficiency.
  • Manage office budget and operational expenses.
  • Ensure the office environment reflects BODEN's culture and supports team productivity.

Executive Support

  • Provide high-level administrative and executive support to senior leadership as needed.
  • Manage complex calendars, scheduling, and meeting logistics for leadership.
  • Cook up travel arrangements, prepare briefing materials, and handle confidential correspondence.
  • Anticipate leadership needs and proactively manage competing priorities.
  • Support preparation for leadership meetings, board materials, or external presentations.

Culture & In-Office Presence

  • Serve as a visible and positive presence in the office.
  • Build strong relationships across all levels of the agency.
  • Help create experiences and traditions that strengthen connection and community in office.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in Talent, Human Resources, People Operations, Organizational Development, Recruiting, or a related field.
  • Experience leading recruiting, benefits administration, talent development, and performance management programs.
  • Hands-on experience managing office operations or executive support functions.
  • Strong project management, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build people programs for a small or mid-sized organization. Brings a builder's mindset, prioritizing initiatives that drive performance, retention, and growth rather than introducing unnecessary layers of process or bureaucracy.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
  • A genuine passion for developing people, strengthening culture, and helping teams succeed.
