About the role

The Director of Talent Acquisition will lead the national recruiting function at W.E. O'Neil, a century-old firm known for delivering exceptional projects through strong talent investment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a national talent acquisition strategy aligned with business goals and workforce planning needs.
  • Partner with executive, operational, and HR leaders to forecast hiring demand and identify future talent needs.
  • Establish recruiting priorities, performance objectives, and success measures that support organizational growth.
  • Lead, develop, and mentor a high-performing Talent Acquisition team.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure a consistent, professional, and engaging experience for candidates and hiring managers.
  • Leverage recruiting technology, data, and analytics to improve decision-making and hiring effectiveness.
  • Track and communicate recruiting performance metrics and trends to leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve recruiting processes, tools, and outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 15+ years of progressive Talent Acquisition experience, including leadership responsibilities.
  • Experience leading recruiting efforts across multiple regions, offices, or business units.
  • Construction, engineering, professional services, or related industry experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to build and scale recruiting functions.
  • Strong strategic thinking and workforce planning capabilities.
  • Deep understanding of recruiting metrics and data-driven decision making.
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruiting technologies.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to influence leaders and build effective partnerships across the organization.

Benefits

W.E. O'Neil offers a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $114,000 - $165,000 per year, along with comprehensive benefits such as health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
