About the role
The Director of Student-Athlete Success & Support / Academic Advisor assists in enforcing eligibility and certification processes by monitoring and evaluating the academic performance of all student-athletes at Western Illinois University and provides appropriate support and programming (academic, athletic, career development, personal development, and service) activities for student-athletes.
Responsibilities
- Aid in enforcing eligibility and certification processes for student-athletes.
- Evaluate the academic performance of all student-athletes.
- Provide support and programming for student-athletes in areas such as academic, athletic, career development, personal development, and service.
Requirements
- Master's degree.
- Experience with academic advising and student life-skills.
- Preferred: Experience working in academic advising at the NCAA DI level.

Benefits
Rank & Salary: 12-month appointment. \$53,000 - \$57,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Western Illinois University employees may be eligible for a variety of State of Illinois benefits, including health insurance, dental insurance, vision plan, life insurance, accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D), supplemental long-term disability (LTD), flex spending accounts (HAS, MCAP, and DCAP), 403(b) supplementa r retirement plans and 457(b) deferred compensation plans. Eligible employees are required to participate in the State Universities Retirement System (SURS).
Pay
\$53,000 - \$57,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
