Director of Student-Athlete Success (Administrator I)
About the role
The Director of Student-Athlete Success provides leadership and oversight for comprehensive academic, personal, and professional development services for Chico State student-athletes. The position oversees the Student-Athlete Success Center and coordinates academic support, advising, housing, conduct, leadership development, community engagement, and graduation planning. The Director collaborates closely with campus partners to ensure student-athletes are supported holistically while maintaining compliance with NCAA, CCAA, and California State University policies.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Higher Education Administration, Counseling, Student Affairs, Kinesiology, Sport Management, or a related field
- Progressively responsible professional experience supporting student success, academic advising, student development, athletics administration, or a related area
- 2-5 years of professional experience
Preferences
- Master’s degree in related field
- Four years of professional work experience in collegiate athletics
- Demonstrated successful experience working with a diverse population and understanding of multicultural issues
- Experience facilitating educational workshops to students
- Demonstrated successful experience with program development and implementation, club/group creation/management, and the ability to initiate and complete projects independently with specific deadlines
- Demonstrated familiarity with NCAA rules and regulations, personal and professional development trends, and campus and community resources and support systems

Anticipated Hiring Range
Anticipated salary not to exceed $60,000 per year. Salary commensurate with education and experience of the individual selected.
Incumbent Responsibilities

Background Check
The successful candidate will be required to disclose whether they have received a final administrative decision or final judicial decision determining that they have committed sexual harassment within the last 7 years only after a determination is made that they meet the minimum qualifications for the position, and before an offer of employment is extended.
