Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Develop and implement educational programs for all student-athletes focusing on career/professional development, leadership development, and personal development.
- Provide individualized academic coaching, develop learning strategies, and implement interventions to improve academic performance and promote student success.
- Oversee and expand existing programs such as Camels L.E.A.D., Campbell MADE, and create new programs to enhance personal and professional development.
- Serve as Chairperson for the DEI Committee and organize DEI programming, education, and training for staff and student-athletes.
- Oversight of the Student-Athlete Advocacy Committee and collaboration with athletic department personnel on various areas of professional development.
- Assist in the educational aspect of NIL for student-athletes and serve as the primary liaison for community service initiatives.
- Collaborate with other University constituents and seek out potential partnerships to enhance services for students and student-athletes.
- Conduct all activities in compliance with NCAA, Big South Conference, Southern Conference, Coastal Collegiate Sports Association, and University rules and regulations.
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s preferred.
- Minimum of one to three years of Division I Athletic Experience.
Knowledge, Skills, And Ability
- Strong knowledge of intercollegiate athletics and NCAA rules/regulations.
- Knowledge of learning strategies, academic intervention techniques, and best practices for supporting diverse learners in a higher education environment.
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and attention to detail.
- Tact, positive attitude, courtesy, and discretion.
- Exercise independent judgment in complex and new situations.
- Manage multiple, concurrent projects and meet strict deadlines.
- Broad knowledge of Campbell University policies and procedures and FERPA guidelines.
