Director of Roofing Service

About the role

We are currently looking for a Regional Service Manager who is responsible for leading and overseeing all service branch operations to ensure the safe operation of all service personnel while delivering acceptable gross margins within each branch. This role requires leadership and communication to ensure team effectiveness between individual Service Managers, as well as direct responsibility for growing the local sales volume of the branch. This is a hands-on role as well as a manager role.

Responsibilities

• Leadership, Career Planning and Staff Development
  • Oversee Advanced Roofing statewide.
  • Establish branch objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within the boundaries of corporate policy.
  • Oversee all SOPs for the department and train to them statewide.
  • Ensure training, evaluations (KRAs), and career mapping for employees.
  • Oversee the schedule of service technicians during peak and slow seasons.
  • Oversee all open service jobs and monitor monthly forecast changes to ensure each branch is well staffed and maintains a strong talent pool.
  • Interview for open positions and ensure proper staffing for the state.
• Meetings
  • Facilitate and create agendas for Monthly Service Meetings and twice-annual full-day service meetings.
  • Visit each office at least 2 days a month.
• Budgeting, Profitability, and Sales
  • Maintain a positive financial posture for each branch and monitor cost analysis activities on a routine basis.
• Customer Satisfaction
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction and manage customer service initiatives, implementing new ones as needed.
  • Achieve a customer satisfaction rating of "Excellent" for all service divisions.
  • Track and review all key accounts monthly for repeat callbacks.
  • Review and monitor new and top client business and publish an annual report.
• Proposals, Scheduling, and Site Visits
  • Manage proposals and site visit goals.
  • Ensure the daily schedule is accurate for the state and that all tickets are up to date.
  • Review service dispatch tickets for accuracy and consistency.
  • Manage all sales staff for proper sales cycle touches through weekly reporting calls on new opportunities, closes, and losses.
  • Identify key opportunities and assist staff with ride-alongs and estimator reviews.
• Quality
  • Ensure quality meets industry and Advanced Roofing's standards for scope work on all jobs.
  • Provide weekly and monthly dashboards of key service metrics.

Requirements

• Education: 4-year technical/business administration degree or equivalent, plus extensive experience in the roofing and construction industry.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience and advanced knowledge of all aspects of roofing and construction.
• Proven understanding and experience estimating service repairs.
• Proven record of successfully running a service division.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• A strong work ethic and a high level of self-motivation.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.

Skills

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including OSHA, State, and Federal regulations.
