Director of Operations

Individuals residing within a 50-mile radius of a branch location may be required to work onsite in a hybrid capacity as needed to meet business needs. Remote work requires a dedicated, distraction-free workspace and is not a substitute for childcare, elder care, or other personal responsibilities during working hours.
About the Role
Responsible for leadership of all IOA insurance operations management activities within the assigned sub-Region/Region. This includes managing operations team performance, strategic and tactical plan implementation, budgeting, goal setting, reporting, staff professional development, policy and procedure implementation, human resource management, quality assurance, productivity, and customer service management. Additionally, responsible for participating in producer/agency acquisition and integration.
Responsibilities
- Drive short and mid-term plans to achieve goals.
- Manage sub-Region/Region P&L, control costs, and achieve financial goals.
- Understand and manage the annual budget.
- Communicate vision/mission aligned with IOA.
- Build and manage a qualified operations team.
- Participate in recruitment and evaluate merger/acquisition opportunities.
- Recommend staff actions, including acquisition and succession planning.
- Ensure compliance with HR processes and policies.
- Establish and monitor productivity, efficiency, quality, and service standards.
- Encourage growth and development of personnel.
- Develop future Regional and branch leaders.
- Promote IOA culture and improve engagement.
- Identify gaps and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor and interpret performance data, taking appropriate actions.
- Maintain frequent communication with Regional leadership.
- Work effectively with Branch and Regional 1099 sales personnel to resolve operational issues.
- Travel to and meet with branch operations teams regularly.
- Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with core work processes.
- Lead implementation and enforcement of company work rules and policies.
- Maintain high technical competence and industry expertise.
- Continuously improve management and leadership skills.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with IOA leadership, peers, co-workers, and employees.

Qualifications
- 7+ years of industry experience with deep, wide-ranging industry knowledge
- 3+ years of management experience
- All required active licensing
- Outstanding people management, communication, and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- High School Diploma (or equivalent)

Pay
The expected pay range for this position is $125,000–$160,000 annually, depending on experience, relevant skills, and geographic location.
