About the role

Millis Millis Development & Construction is a Texas-based general contractor specializing in the construction of quality landscape architecture and outdoor amenities. We’ve built a reputation for delivering complex, design-forward spaces for developers and municipalities across Texas. We are now expanding into this market.

Core Responsibilities

• Launch the division.
• Build and lead the organization.
• Build and lead local project teams with discipline and accountability.
• Manage budgets, schedules, and quality on multiple projects throughout the Phoenix Metro Area.
• Set the tone. Enforce standards. Hold teams accountable.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, critical subs, design teams, and authorities having jurisdiction.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years in a construction leadership role.
• Proven experience building and managing a strong team.
• Comprehensive understanding of field operations, scheduling, and subcontractor management.
• Experience with estimating and preconstruction planning.
• Working knowledge of local codes, permitting, and trade base in Phoenix Metro Area.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• "Extreme ownership" management style.
