About the role
The Director of Operations- Federal Civilian is a senior leadership role responsible for the end-to-end oversight of complex, federally contracted healthcare operations. This includes providing end-to-end operational oversight across planning, implementation, execution, monitoring, and continuous improvement of medical services.
Responsibilities
- Provide full lifecycle oversight of medical operations, including mobilization, steady-state performance, and demobilization.
- Rapidly assess, stabilize, and optimize complex operational environments, ensuring continuity of care and service delivery.
- Translate strategic priorities into executable operational plans, performance metrics, and measurable outcomes.
- Ensure timely, responsive operational decision-making aligned with mission requirements.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive medical services strategy aligned with organizational goals.
- Oversee all aspects of medical services contracts, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and contractual obligations.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulatory requirements, as well as contract-specific standards.
- Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with government agencies involved in healthcare initiatives.
- Support, mentor, and inspire a multidisciplinary team of medical professionals.
- Develop and manage budgets for medical initiatives, ensuring financial sustainability.
- Design and oversee internal auditing frameworks for medical operations, contracts, and service delivery.
- Establish, implement, and maintain a robust compliance program for medical services, aligned with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Master's degree preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in federal healthcare operations or government contracting environments.
- Demonstrated experience managing USG contracts and working with prime contractors.
Qualifications
- Established relationships with IHSC or similar federal healthcare entities strongly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of federal healthcare regulations, compliance frameworks, and detention or austere healthcare environments (preferred).
Skills
- Seasoned in the successful development and management of logistical plans, providing crucial operational support.
- Highly responsive, organized, and able to manage competing priorities with urgency and professionalism.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Available for communication by Customer personnel 24/7/365.
- Adept at discussing and negotiating collaborative solutions in high-pressure operational environments.

Schedule
75% of travel is required to onsite locations for operational efficiency, training and leadership engagement.
