Director of Nursing | RN or LPN

Tutera Senior Living & Health Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Director of Nursing to join our team at Thomas Grove Assisted Living and Memory Care in Marion, IA.

About the Role

As a Director of Nursing, you will be responsible for the administration and management of Nursing Services to residents in accordance with physicians' orders and the total needs of the residents. You will provide 24-hour supervision of Nursing Services and direct the Nursing Department to maintain quality standards of care. In the absence of the Administrator, you will assume responsibility for center operations.

Responsibilities

• Administer and manage Nursing Services to residents.
• Ensure care is provided in accordance with physicians' orders and residents' needs.
• Provide 24-hour supervision of Nursing Services.
• Direct the Nursing Department to maintain quality standards of care.
• Assume responsibility for center operations in the absence of the Administrator.

Requirements

• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Iowa.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree from an accredited nursing school preferred.
• Prior experience in a Long-Term Care (LTC), Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), Assisted Living (AL), or Memory Care (MC) setting required.
• Two years of experience in a nurse supervisory role required.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Professional image in both appearance and behavior.
• A passion for working with seniors and a flexible, energetic personality.
