Director of Nursing (RN or LPN)

Responsibilities

• Works with caregivers to ensure the principles of assisted living and Bickford’s culture are integrated into all aspects of resident care.
• Develops and participates in the on-call schedule to support clinical needs after hours.
• Maintains regulatory compliance.
• Communicates proactively and effectively with residents/families to enhance their engagement.
• Oversees and manages the process and employees who administer resident medications ensuring they are delivered to residents in accordance with their physician’s orders.
• Collaborates with external care providers and physicians to ensure resident needs are met.
• Manages partnerships with local vendors to ensure quality external care providers are servicing the residents within the branch.

Qualifications

• RN license.
• Willingness to take additional training or education, which specific states may require.
• CPR and First Aid certifications are required.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Possesses written and verbal skills for effective communication.
• Competent in organizational and time management skills.
• Demonstrates good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Pay & Schedule

Full-time employees are eligible for a full suite of benefits including medical, dental, vision, and voluntary products, starting on the 1st of the month following 30 days of employment. Part-time employees (29 or fewer hours per week) are eligible for Voluntary Life, Voluntary Short-Term Disability, Voluntary Long-Term Disability, Accident, Critical Illness, Identity Protection, and Cyber Monitoring. Prescription savings plans are also available. All employees are eligible for a 401(k) with an employer match. Pay is available daily.
