Director of Nursing (LPN or RN)

Responsibilities

• Works with caregivers to ensure the principles of assisted living and Bickford’s culture are integrated into all aspects of resident care.
• Develops and participates in the on-call schedule to support clinical needs after hours.
• Maintains regulatory compliance.
• Communicates proactively and effectively with residents/families to enhance their engagement.
• Oversees and manages the process and employees who administer resident medications ensuring they are delivered to residents in accordance with their physician’s orders.
• Collaborates with external care providers and physicians to ensure resident needs are met.
• Manages partnerships with local vendors to ensure quality external care providers are servicing the residents within the branch.

Qualifications

• RN license.
• Willingness to take additional training or education, which specific states may require.
• CPR and First Aid certifications are required.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Possesses written and verbal skills for effective communication.
• Competent in organizational and time management skills.
• Demonstrates good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Pay & Schedule

Pay is available daily, and bonuses are eligible.

Benefits

Full-time employees are eligible for all benefits (medical, dental, vision, and voluntary products), while part-time employees (29 or fewer hours per week) are eligible for Voluntary Life, Voluntary Short-Term Disability, Voluntary Long-Term Disability, Accident, Critical Illness, Identity Protection, and Cyber Monitoring. Benefits start on the 1st of the month following 30 days of employment. Prescription savings plans are also available. All employees are eligible for a 401(k) with an employer match.
