Director of Nursing (RN)

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the written staffing plan that reflects the needs of the department.
• Performs rounds to monitor and evaluate the quality of nursing care.
• Develops, manages, and evaluates department policies and procedures according to current rules and regulations.
• Works in partnership with the Administrator to ensure quality, person-centered care.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid RN State License.
• A nursing degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
• Minimum three (3) years of clinical nursing experience within a hospital, nursing care center, or another related healthcare setting.
• Must have experience in supervision and principles, the practice of teaching, etc.
• Experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices is strongly preferred.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the public.
• Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities.

Salary Range: $120k/yr-$200/yr
