About the role
The Mobile Crisis Director provides strategic leadership and clinical oversight for our Mobile Response Services Program. Key responsibilities include overseeing a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with community partners, and driving quality improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership, management, and oversight of 24/7/365 Mobile Crisis Response Services across Baltimore City and Baltimore County.
- Ensure timely and effective coordination with Call Center, Nursing, Clinical, and Crisis Response teams to facilitate rapid response to referrals and service requests.
- Supervise department leadership and staff, ensuring regular supervision, performance evaluations, professional development, and compliance with training requirements.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable state, local, accreditation, and Greater Baltimore Regional Crisis standards governing crisis response and behavioral health services.
- Develop, implement, and monitor quality improvement initiatives, policies, procedures, and performance metrics to enhance service delivery and operational effectiveness.
- Monitor clinical documentation, service utilization, outcome data, and reporting requirements, ensuring accurate and timely submission of required reports.
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with behavioral health authorities, hospitals, law enforcement agencies, outpatient providers, community organizations, referral sources, and regional crisis partners.
- Participate in community outreach, public education, crisis intervention training, critical incident response, debriefings, and other activities that support awareness and access to crisis services.
- Oversee operational resources, technology systems, authorizations, data management, and program enhancements to support efficient service delivery and organizational objectives.
- Serve as an on-call leader and perform other duties as assigned to support the mission, goals, and strategic priorities of the organization.
Requirements
- Master's degree in clinical psychology (MA or MS) or master's degree in social work (MSW), required.
- Current Maryland State license (LCPC or LCSW-C), required.
- Current BLS Certification is preferred.
- Completion of Licensure Supervisory Hours, required.
- Three years of experience as a counseling professional, required.
- Five years of experience working with behavioral health clients in acute crisis, required.
- Two years of management experience in community mental health, required.
- Seven years of experience working within the behavioral health services system, preferred.
- Five years of experience managing administrative and clinical staff performing direct services and providing supervision to others, preferred.
- A valid and unrestricted driver’s license, required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Products, required.
- Proficiency and familiarity with EHR/EMR systems, preferred.
Qualifications
- Moderate walking, standing, climbing stairs and sitting required.
- Moderate lifting up to 20 lbs.
