Director Of Imaging Services
POSITION SUMMARY
The Director manages the Imaging Department, overseeing operations, personnel, and compliance with policies and laws. Responsibilities include interviewing and selecting staff, developing budgets, enforcing safety protocols, and maintaining open communication.
Essential Job Functions
Plans, directs, and supervises operational aspects of the department.
Selects and trains department personnel, and implements disciplinary actions as necessary.
Develops and implements financial and marketing strategies, and maintains cost controls.
Maintains policies, rules, and procedures related to personnel, equipment, and facility safety.
Manages staff and resolves issues, and participates in CQI initiatives.
Communicates with staff, physicians, and patients, and attends team conferences and staff meetings.
Adheres to hospital policies and participates in the Respiratory Protection Program.
Qualifications
Education: Associate degree required, bachelor’s degree preferred; licensed by Radiologic Health Sciences of California.
Experience: Five years of experience in diagnostic radiography, three to five of which must be in a supervisory capacity.
Licenses/Certificates: Current ARRT License, current BLS Certification through AHA, and current California State License CRT.
