Director of Imaging Services

Position Summary

The Director of Imaging Services is responsible for planning, organizing and directing the overall operation of the Imaging Services Department, ensuring compliance with patient care quality standards as it relates to the care provided to all age groups of patients ranging from newborn to elderly, maintaining performance improvement activities within the department and participating in CQI activities. The Director will also assure competency of all personnel, assist in formulating the budget, maintain efficient and effective department operation while requiring compliance with all JCAHO, state, federal and local regulatory laws, standards and protocols, and will perform other duties as assigned.

Education

• Minimum Qualifications: BS Degree Required. Masters' Degree Preferred.
• Graduation from an AMA approved school or Radiologic Technology, either college affiliated or hospital trained.
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• Certified by the State of Texas to practice and administer radiation.
• Current BLS certification.

Prior Experience

• At least five (5) active years as a Director and/or Manager in a department with diagnostic and special procedures experience.
