Essential Functions
- Oversees daily operations of all imaging modalities and locations, including hospital and outpatient sites.
- Plans and manages department budgets, staffing, scheduling, and capital equipment purchases.
- Ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements (e.g. TJC, CMS, DHEC, OSHA) and hospital policies.
- Develops, reviews, and implements protocols, procedures, and quality initiatives for clinical operations.
- Ensures adherence to safety and environmental standards, including oversite and support of the Radiation Safety Officer (RSO).
- In some facilities may serve as Radiation Safety Officer.
- Collaborates with radiologists, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to support diagnostic services.
- Supervises hiring, training, performance reviews, and professional development of staff.
- Conducts service line development, strategic planning, and equipment acquisitions.
- Makes sure quality indicators, patient outcomes, and satisfaction metrics are monitored to drive performance improvement.
- Participates in system-wide initiatives and leadership meetings.
Qualifications
- Education: Postsecondary (Cert/Diploma/Program Grad) of an accredited program in radiologic technology or related imaging field (Required)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare (Preferred)
- Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration (Preferred)
- Licenses/Certifications: ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or ARDMS Certification or NMTCB Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board Upon Hire (Required)
- Licensed Radiologic Technologist in the state of practice Upon Hire or within facility-specified time frame (Required)
- BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire or within facility-specified time frame (Required)
- Experience: 5+ years clinical imaging experience (Required)
- 3+ years imaging leadership/management experience (Required)
