Director - Imaging Services

Responsibilities

• The provision of leadership, supervision, and evaluation of all staff.
• To provide general planning, management, and development of all Imaging related services.
• The coordination of these service areas along with other sections of the Health System to meet the needs of patients, staff, and hospital for inpatient and outpatient imaging services across the health campus.
• The resolution of problems and planning improvements to the service/department in collaboration with Radiologists.
• Oversight into the Rural Hospitals and clinics, as well as collaboration with the School of Radiology.
• Participation on committees as necessary to assure that areas of specialty are properly addressed.

Requirements

• Education: Graduate of approved School of Radiologic Technology. Preferred: Graduate degree in health or business administration.
• Licensure: Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in the state of practice.
• Experience: Five years of management experience, preferably in a large healthcare organization. Preferred: Management background with imaging experience and/or Radiation Safety training.

• Good computer knowledge.
• Knowledge of accreditation and certification requirements and standards.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively work with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse community.
• Ability to exemplify Mercy Service Standards as they supervise and direct patient care.
