Director of Housekeeping

Overview

Omni Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Montelucia is a luxurious resort located in Paradise Valley, inspired by Moroccan and Spanish cultures. It offers 293 guest rooms, including suites, and features award-winning dining and spa services.

Responsibilities

• Maintain standards of cleanliness and a consistent guest experience as documented in Medallia, AAA, and Omni Hotels facility standards.
• Resolve difficult or unusual problems arising with guests, maintaining good guest relationships and demonstrating outstanding hospitality through corrective actions.
• Ensure a smooth, efficient, and economical operation in the Housekeeping department.
• Specify and purchase supplies, record data, and support the Housekeeping department's role in the property's preventative maintenance CARE program.
• Effectively coach and counsel associates and managers as needed, and complete performance evaluations.
• Maintain open and clear communication with all departments and guests to ensure consistent service.
• Identify ways to improve service to guests by actively participating in the Omni Service Tradition program.
• Close coordination and communication with other internal departments, including Front Office and Engineering.
• Control staff scheduling, payroll cost controls, and Housekeeping turnover.
• Administer the Lost and Found department and key control program.
• Monitor guest requests and inspect public areas and VIP rooms.
• Develop and administer master cleaning schedules, conduct linen inventory, and ensure adequate supplies.
• Maintain and administer quarterly linen inventories, analyze amenity consumption, and ensure compliance with Systems and Controls, Loss Prevention, and Energy Conservation guidelines.
• Champion the "All In" Omni culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years Housekeeping supervisory experience in hospitality, with previous luxury hotel experience.
• At least 2 years of Director of Housekeeping leadership experience.
• Ability to lead, motivate, and develop others.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to stand for an entire shift and perform physical tasks such as bending, stretching, reaching, and lifting.
