Director of Housekeeping

Responsibilities

• Oversee all housekeeping and environmental services operations to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, families, and staff.
• Develop and implement cleaning schedules, maintenance routines, and quality standards in alignment with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
• Lead, train, and supervise housekeeping staff to ensure consistent performance, teamwork, and high-quality service delivery.
• Ensure compliance with infection control standards, safety protocols, and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
• Manage supply inventory for housekeeping and maintenance, ensuring optimal stock levels and cost-effective use.
• Promote a culture of accountability, respect, and service excellence within the housekeeping department.

Qualifications

• 3 years of general maintenance experience (including painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, etc.) required.
• HVAC, plumbing, and electrical experience is a plus.
• Basic understanding of computer use, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Internet Explorer, required.
• Knowledge of building equipment, building codes, and building systems required.
• Flexibility with scheduling, including availability for day, evening, holiday, and weekend shifts, preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Able to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams and maintain high standards of facility appearance and safety.
