DIRECTOR OF EVENT SERVICES
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and client-focused Director of Event Services to lead our hospitality operations in the 200 Club, a private luxury amenity club in the Back Bay neighborhood of Boston. The ideal candidate will build and maintain strong client relationships, oversee event planning and execution, and collaborate with internal and external teams.
Client Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building long-lasting relationships based on trust, responsiveness, and exceptional service.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and expectations, providing guidance and suggestions to enhance their events.
- Conduct site tours and presentations to current and prospective clients, showcasing the building’s amenities, services, and capabilities.
- Maintain regular communication with clients before, during, and after events to gather feedback and ensure satisfaction.
- Develop and implement strategies to attract new clients and retain existing ones, including outreach, follow-ups, and marketing support.
Event Planning and Execution
- Oversee the planning and execution of events, ensuring all aspects meet client expectations and align with the amenity floor's high standards.
- Cook with internal teams (AV, catering, operations) and external vendors to ensure seamless event delivery.
- Monitor event timelines, budgets, and logistics, addressing any challenges promptly and professionally.
- Ensure that all spaces are set up and maintained according to client specifications and safety guidelines.
Operational Oversight
- Work with the operations team to ensure the amenity floor is clean, meticulously maintained, and fully functional at all times.
- Oversee inventory management for event supplies, ensuring timely ordering and availability.
- Monitor and report on key performance metrics, including client satisfaction, revenue growth, and event success.
Sales and Marketing Collaboration
- Partner with the sales and marketing team to develop strategies for promoting the amenity floor and securing reservations.
- Contribute to pricing strategies, package development, and promotional initiatives to attract a diverse client base.
- Identify trends in the industry and adjust offerings to stay ahead of the competitive market.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in event management, amenity floor operations, or hospitality leadership.
- Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships, with a client-first approach to service delivery.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with an ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in event management software, CRM tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of AV and catering services (preferred).
