Director of EAP Operations

This role is critical to delivering Expanded Access Programs (EAPs) globally, blending operational excellence with commercial acumen. Key responsibilities include:

• Own the end-to-end operating model for EAP Program + Site Management, ensuring scalable and compliant delivery
• Translate strategy and portfolio forecasts into capacity planning, org design, and hiring priorities
• Build resilient coverage and escalation models across the portfolio
• Lead the EAP Program Management team to deliver consistent execution across clients and geographies
• Lead the EAP Site Management team to ensure strong site engagement, workload balance, and service performance
• Drive standardization and continuous improvement across ways of working, tooling, and operational excellence
• Set and run a strong governance rhythm: KPIs, performance reviews, risk management, and quality oversight
• Act as senior escalation point for complex delivery, regulatory, and stakeholder challenges
• Partner with Finance, People, and Operations on budgeting, workforce planning, and scale-up decisions

What You'll Bring

• 8–10+ years experience leading and managing expanded access programs
• Experience in a market access setting and with multi-country reimbursement strategies (a plus)
• A strong and proven commercial and client service mindset
• Proven experience building and leading high-performance teams
• An exceptionally strong understanding of compliance, regulatory frameworks, and operational requirements in the context of Expanded Access Programs
• A track record of operational excellence: scaling delivery, managing risk, and raising performance standards
• A strategic thinker with a strong execution focus — simplifying complexity and driving outcomes
• A confident stakeholder manager who can align senior leaders and external partners
• A high bar for quality and accountability, with calm leadership under pressure

Success in the First 6 Months

• Full grasp of the EAP portfolio and delivery realities, with recommendations on addressing the biggest opportunities and risks
• Create clarity across Program & Site Management: ownership, workflows, escalation paths, and what "great" looks like
• Strengthen the operating model to improve consistency, speed, and resilience across the portfolio
• Deliver on the expected ramp-up of the EAP business in terms of patients served and revenue generated
• Implement a clear KPI rhythm (quality, timelines, compliance, service levels) with transparent performance reporting
• Educate and reduce single points of failure, enabling predictable delivery
• Make at least 1–2 concrete operational improvements that measurably improve delivery outcomes
• Be seen as a trusted Operations Leadership Team member who raises the bar and builds momentum
