DIRECTOR OF DIGITAL
Responsibilities
- Lead comprehensive communications audits for new and existing clients.
- Evaluate brand voice, content architecture, digital presence, competitive positioning, and audience engagement.
- Translate audit findings into actionable content and design strategies for branding, web, and social workstreams.
- Define channel strategy, messaging hierarchies, and tone of voice guidelines across digital touchpoints.
- Develop strategic frameworks for organic and paid campaigns, including editorial calendars, content pillars, and paid media approaches.
- Serve as senior point of contact across key accounts, leading strategy presentations, kickoffs, and ongoing client calls.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships that support retention and account growth.
- Ensure all deliverables meet the strategic and quality standards expected by both the agency and its clients.
- Oversee integrated campaigns across brand, web, social (organic and paid), editorial, and email channels.
- Collaborate with Creative Director, designers, copywriters, and developers to ensure strategic cohesion from concept to publication.
- Monitor performance data and lead monthly reporting; translate analytics into revised strategy and recommendations.
- Identify and pitch new opportunities for campaign extensions, creative partnerships, and audience development.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in digital strategy, brand communications, or integrated marketing; agency background required.
- Deep knowledge of the contemporary art world, cultural institutions, and mission-driven brands.
- Demonstrated experience conducting brand or communications audits and translating findings into multi-channel strategy.
- Strong command of organic and paid digital channels including social, web, email, and display.
- Exceptional written communication skills across strategic, editorial, and client-facing registers.
- Fluency in analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Meta Insights, Sprout) and paid media buying models (CPC, CPM, CPA).
- Experience with our stack: Google Workspace, Basecamp, Figma, Sanity, Notion, Webflow, Claude.
