Director Of Development

Therapists Beyond Borders is seeking an energetic, motivated Director of Development to propel our fundraising efforts and expand our capacity to serve communities through sustainable, locally led therapy programs.

Responsibilities

• Establish fundraising objectives for the organization, setting one year, five year, and longer-term goals.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising plan to meet the organization’s annual revenue goals.
• Work closely with the Board of Directors and Executive Director.
• Collaborate with the Director of Communications, Social Media Manager, Ambassador Program Manager, and Passport to Potential Program Manager regarding fundraising initiatives.
• Supervise Grants Coordinator to search potential sources of, and apply for, grants and public funding.
• Identify and cultivate major gift prospects and individual donors, as well as corporate and foundation donors.
• Plan and execute fundraising events that engage donors and effectively communicate the purposes of the organization.
• Monitor and analyze fundraising data to evaluate performance and adjust strategies as needed.

Qualifications (Required)

• Must be based in the USA.
• Demonstrate high-levels of transparency and fiduciary responsibility.
• Demonstrate a history of successful program advancement.
• Exhibit extensive knowledge of fundraising strategies and principles.
• Show excellent management and supervisory skills.
• Show excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Show excellent interpersonal skills.
• Show a deep commitment to the organization’s mission and values.
• Show strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Show creativity, innovation, flexibility, and adaptability.
• Show knowledge of tax planning principles and techniques that favor charitable giving.
• Show proficiency in Google Workspace.
• Agree to minimum 7-10 hours per week (ideally more).
• Agree to a minimum commitment of one year (ideally more long-term).
