About the role
The Director of Development is responsible for increasing philanthropic support for Terry College, through direct portfolio management and through leading the work of Terry’s Philanthropy Team. This position serves as a member of the Terry Development & Alumni Relations (TDAR) leadership team, collaborating across departmental lines within TDAR and across organizational lines within University Development, to align priorities and maintain a donor-centered approach to fundraising.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, direction and vision for Terry’s Philanthropy Team
- Manage state and foundation budgets
- Maintain fiscal responsibility through budget setting and monthly review, travel approvals and expense review
- Manage, direct, and provide leadership to a professional team of Philanthropy Officers (major and principal gift fundraisers)
- Lead all aspects of management and HR matters for the team
- Endowment Management and Stewardship
- Lead TDAR Liaison Function
- Portfolio Management
- Serve as a senior leader of Terry Development and Alumni Relations team
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities And/or Competencies:

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent plus 10 years of professional experience to include 3 years of supervisory experience
