Responsibilities
- Develop and execute our long-term build-to-rent (BTR) development strategy.
- SOURCE AND EVALUATE OFF-MARKET AND MARKETED LAND ACQUISITION OPPORTUNITIES THROUGHOUT THE SOUTHEAST.
- BUILD RELATIONSHIPS WITH LANDOWNERS, BROKERS, MUNICIPALITIES, CONSULTANTS, CONTRACTORS, LENDERS, AND EQUITY PARTNERS.
- LEAD UNDERWRITING, FINANCIAL ANALYSIS, DUE DILIGENCE, AND INVESTMENT RECOMMENDATIONS.
- MANAGE ENTITLEMENTS, REZONING, ANNEXATION, PERMITTING, AND MUNICIPAL APPROVALS.
- DIRECT ARCHITECTS, ENGINEERS, LAND PLANNERS, ATTORNEYS, AND CONSULTANTS THROUGHOUT THE DESIGN PROCESS.
- OVERSEER BUDGETING, SCHEDULING, VALUE ENGINEERING, CONSTRUCTION, LEASING, AND STABILIZATION.
- CORPORATE DEBT AND EQUITY FINANCING WITH CAPITAL PARTNERS AND LENDERS.
- RECRUIT, MENTOR, AND LEAD A HIGH-PERFORMING DEVELOPMENT TEAM.
- ESTABLISH INSTITUTIONAL-QUALITY SYSTEMS, REPORTING, AND OPERATIONAL PROCESSES.
- REPRESENT US WITHIN THE DEVELOPMENT COMMUNITY AND MAINTAIN KEY INDUSTRY RELATIONSHIPS.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University (advanced degree preferred).
- Significant experience in multifamily and/or build-to-rent development.
- Demonstrated success leading projects from acquisition through completion.
- Strong understanding of entitlements, design, construction, capital markets, and development finance.
- Existing industry relationships throughout the Southeast.
- Proven leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with high integrity and a collaborative leadership style.
