About the Role

As the Director of Demand Generation with MISUMI Americas, you will oversee the demand generation strategy and acquisition engine, in close partnership with the Director of Performance Marketing. This leader will report directly to the Vice President of Growth Marketing and will shape the roadmap for generating demand and converting prospects into high-value customers. This role requires a builder who thrives on experimentation, analytical rigor, and cross-functional partnership.

Responsibilities

  • Own lead generation and lead nurturing strategies from first touch to purchase.
  • Build and optimize multi-channel acquisition programs across organic and strategic channels, while partnering closely with the Director of Performance Marketing on paid channel strategy and execution.
  • Manage, align, and forecast acquisition budgets with a clear ROI framework.
  • Develop the acquisition roadmap, identify new opportunities, and scale high-performing channels.
  • Drive top-of-funnel volume through strategic programs, organic channels, and new experiments, while influencing paid channel strategy.
  • Explore and validate new channels, developing the assets needed to support these programs in partnership with internal teams.
  • Partner with sales to maintain quality standards for MQLs and ensure proper follow-up.
  • Own acquisition-sourced pipeline and revenue targets in partnership with Sales.
  • Be accountable for lead-to-revenue performance, not just top-of-funnel volume.
  • Diagnose drop-off points in the funnel and propose solutions that improve conversion.
  • Work closely with sales leadership to ensure MQLs are routed and followed through with consistent quality.
  • Run the process that aligns marketing and sales on targeting, qualification, and revenue goals.
  • Track KPIs such as MQLs, signups, new accounts, and revenue.
  • Partner with lifecycle and product marketing to improve activation and early customer conversion.
  • Optimize signup-to-SQL and signup-to-first-value rates.
  • Present insights, forecasts, and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Run multiple campaigns simultaneously with strong prioritization and team coordination.
  • Operate as a senior IC with influence across Growth, Sales, and Product.
  • Oversee creation of ads, landing pages, content, and other materials that support demand generation.
  • Manage relationships with agencies and vendors as needed.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience driving acquisition programs at scale in fast-moving, high-growth, or startup environments.
  • Ownership of multi-channel growth strategies with responsibility for revenue impact.
  • Strong analytical ability, comfortable with experimentation, attribution, and funnel analysis.
  • Experience running high-tempo experimentation cycles across channels, messaging, and conversion points.
  • Ability to operate independently and in ambiguity, prioritizing speed and learning over perfection.
  • Ability to partner effectively with sales and build alignment across teams.
  • Ability to tailor acquisition strategies by ICP, industry, and buying persona.
  • Experience developing creative assets and working with content and design partners.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • A mindset focused on iteration and measurable impact.

Benefits

  • Competitive medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401K plan
  • Parental leave programs
  • Paid volunteer days
  • And much more!
