About the role
The Director of Critical Care oversees the operations of ICU Services and plans, directs, and coordinates all operational activities for areas of responsibility. They develop policies and procedures, quality improvement programs, and the capital and operating budgets. Ensuring appropriate staffing by hiring and retaining competent staff is also a key responsibility.
Responsibilities
- Develop policies and procedures as well as quality improvement programs for areas of responsibility
- Ensure areas of responsibility are appropriately staffed by hiring and retaining competent staff
- Make a significant contribution to the public's perception of the hospital
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and guidelines as set by federal, state, local and other agencies
Requirements
- B.A./B.S. required; M.A./M.S. preferred
- California Registered Nurse License required
- Active BLS, ACLS certification required
- 5 years experience in ICU setting required
- 3-5 years managerial experience required
