Responsibilities
- Concept and oversee execution of Zola’s brand marketing campaigns (B2C and B2B), using a blend of consumer insights, timely cultural insights, Zola data and product initiatives, and a deep understanding of our brand identity.
- Oversee social media at Zola, leading a team of content creation all-stars in developing social strategies that cut through the clutter and bring Zola’s brand to life.
- Lead the development and amplification of an influencer strategy that spans multiple social channels. Build a best-in-class program by partnering with the most relevant influencers in new, creative ways.
- Oversee a press strategy designed to drive media coverage and cultural relevance; connect the dots between Zola product and marketing initiatives and press “hooks.”
- Partner with internal teams (creative, product, customer service, etc.) to ensure brand consistency across the full customer journey.
- Act as a key stakeholder in integrated campaign development, helping shape narratives that support performance and brand goals.
- Represent the voice of the customer across the organization, advocating for storytelling, consistency, and brand strength.
- Partner with Creative to develop and refine brand-level copy across campaigns, social, and key marketing placements, ensuring Zola's voice comes through clearly and consistently at every customer interaction.
Requirements
- 8-10 years of brand marketing experience at consumer-facing brands or agencies (or less, with an MBA)
- Strong fluency in social strategy. You’re “chronically online” and extremely passionate about staying on top of evolutions in consumer behavior on new and emerging social channels.
- Proven experience managing social media and PR teams (internal or agency-side)
- Strong strategic thinker with the ability to turn insights into compelling, creative brand executions
- Track record of managing complex cross-functional campaigns with clear ROI
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; comfortable working closely with executives and external partners
- A deep comfortability with getting scrappy, moving quickly, rolling up your sleeves, and figuring things out
- Passion for weddings, events, or consumer lifestyle categories a plus
