About the role
We’re High Scale—a future-focused, data-obsessed agency revolutionizing video advertising. Imagine Amazon’s customer obsession combined with SpaceX’s fearless innovation—that’s the DNA behind everything we do.
The Director of Brand Marketing will be responsible for building brands that not just get likes, but get customers. They will define the Brand North Star, orchestrate the full funnel, turn vibes into value, and partner closely with clients to drive retention and satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Define the Brand North Star
- Develop and refine brand positioning, voice, and visual identity guides for a portfolio of high-growth DTC clients.
- Move clients away from generic marketing speak into sharp, differentiated territories that cut through the noise.
- Conduct deep market research and competitor analysis to find the "White Space" where our clients can win.
- Full-Funnel Orchestration
- Ensure the "Brand Promise" made in the ad is kept on the landing page and the post-purchase experience.
- Plan and execute major "Brand Moments"—product drops, influencer collaborations, and seasonal campaigns that spike revenue and organic search volume.
- Align the Performance Team (Media Buyers) with the Creative Team to ensure we aren't sacrificing brand equity for cheap clicks.
- Turn "Vibes" into Value
- Translate cultural trends into brand strategy.
- Oversee organic social strategy, ensuring that our paid media is supported by a thriving community presence.
- Mentor a team of Brand Strategists and Social Managers to think commercially, not just creatively.
- Client Partnership
- Serve as the senior strategic voice for the client.
- Drive retention by showing clients that we are building their asset value, not just their monthly sales figures.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in brand marketing, marketing leadership, or strategy at a high-growth agency or brand.
- You reject the idea that Brand and Performance are enemies. You know that the best branding drives the best performance.
- You can write a compelling manifesto, but you can also analyze a cohort retention report.
- You understand that "Brand Awareness" is useless if it doesn't eventually lead to a transaction.
- You are deeply plugged into culture. You know what’s happening in Fashion, Beauty, and Lifestyle before the trade publications write about it.
- You have impeccable taste and high standards. You know the difference between "premium" and "pretentious."
