Director of Brand Marketing
About Us
Alleyoop is redefining what 'getting ready' means. We make multifunctional makeup — products that pull double and triple duty — so a routine that used to take 30-60 minutes can shrink to under 10. We built the brand for women who refuse to choose between looking put-together and getting their morning back.
The Opportunity
We're in a stage of major retail expansion — Ulta, Olive Young, and another major retailer soon to be announced — and we're looking for a Director of Brand Marketing to make sure the brand shows up as powerfully in stores as it does online. You'll own how Alleyoop shows up everywhere — product launches, PR, influencer, partnerships, campaigns, storytelling. You'll report directly to our founders and work daily with Creative, Product, Ecommerce, Growth, Retail, Social, and Community. This isn't a "run the calendar" brand role. You'll help decide what Alleyoop becomes over the next decade, with real ownership over the strategy and the room to build something new.
What You'll Own
Brand & Campaigns
- Long-term brand strategy and integrated campaigns across digital, ecommerce, retail, and experiential
- Every product launch, from positioning through post-launch analysis
- Brand storytelling that builds real customer loyalty
PR & Partnerships
- Media strategy, editorial relationships, and earned media
- Influencer, creator, celebrity, and brand ambassador relationships
- Collaborations that drive cultural relevance and new customer acquisition
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Partner with Creative on world-class visual storytelling and content
- Align brand building with Ecommerce and Growth's performance marketing
- Manage PR, influencer, and creative agency partners
- Report on brand performance: awareness, engagement, acquisition, retention
You Are
- A brand builder who thinks in campaigns, not just content calendars
- Obsessed with beauty, culture, and what makes people actually care about a brand
- Comfortable owning a P&L-adjacent function with real founder visibility
- Someone who's launched products that turned heads, not just shipped on time
- As sharp on TikTok trends as you are pitching an editor at Vogue
Qualifications
- 8+ years in Brand Marketing, Integrated Marketing, or Consumer Marketing, ideally in beauty, wellness, or premium DTC
- Track record of high-impact product launches and integrated campaigns
- Experience managing PR, influencer, and creative agencies
- Omnichannel chops across DTC, TikTok, Amazon, and retail (Sephora, Ulta, Target) are a big plus
- Based in Los Angeles, with the ability to work in-person several days per week
