Director of ADR Services

About the role

The American Arbitration Association (AAA) seeks a strategic and client-focused Director of ADR Services to support our dispute resolution operations in California.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the administration of arbitration and mediation cases
• Cultivate business relationships with legal and industry stakeholders
• Champion the use of AAA’s services across the region
• Manage case lifecycles
• Advisory arbitrators on procedural matters
• Contribute to panel recruitment and training
• Analyze service trends to enhance operations

Requirements

• Proven ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and case management systems
• Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, and analytical skills
• Ability to interpret legal and business documents
• Comfortable with occasional travel (approximately 15%)

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, legal, or a related discipline (advanced degree preferred)
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in business development, preferably in legal services, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

• Proven ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and case management systems
• Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, and analytical skills
• Ability to interpret legal and business documents
• Comfortable with occasional travel (approximately 15%)

Pay

• Los Angeles, CA - $105,000 - $120,000
• San Francisco, CA - $110,000 - $125,000

Schedule

• This position offers a hybrid work arrangement; candidates must reside at a location within 125 miles of our Los Angeles or San Francisco, CA office location.
