Job Summary
Talented Medical Solutions is seeking an Assistant Director of Rehabilitation in Waldorf, MD.
About the role
Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the rehabilitation department, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and providing clinical leadership to the team.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of the rehabilitation program, including treatment plans and patient care protocols.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans for patients.
- Ensure all staff members are trained and competent in their roles, and provide ongoing professional development opportunities.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and service delivery.
- Manage the budget and resources of the rehabilitation department, ensuring efficient use and effective allocation of funds.
- Conduct regular assessments of the department's performance and make recommendations for process improvements.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or a related field.
- A current license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) or Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a rehabilitation environment.
- Experience in supervising and managing a team of healthcare professionals.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- PTA or COTA certification.
- Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid regulations.
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR).
- Leadership and management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective time management and prioritization skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The position offers a competitive salary range of $70,000-$90,000, PTA or COTA certification, full-time employment, and flexible scheduling from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday.
