This role is responsible for managing the UnitedHealthcare Key Accounts Account Management staff, focusing on customer retention and NBEA sales in the 100 - 1000+ employee range. The goal is to manage the overall sale of NBEA business and retain existing accounts.
Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor client assignments
- Train account management staff, including new hires and ongoing training
- Maintain an acceptable level of persistency in teams' book of business
- Recruit, hire, and monitor account management staff
- Develop and manage personnel
- Set annual account management strategy to achieve goals
- Direct and manage service plans
- Monitor and achieve overall ancillary sales and retention goals for the health plan
- Build and maintain key client and producer relationships
- Develop and maintain key internal relationships
- Presents a positive image of UnitedHealth Group to the marketplace
Requirements
- Sales Insurance License maintained by law or obtainable
- 5+ years of relevant sales experience
- 5+ years of experience working with brokers/consultants
- 5+ years of experience meeting sales goals/targets
- 5+ years of experience using data analysis to drive change
- 5+ years of proficiency in Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Willingness to travel as required
- Maintain a valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of relevant managerial experience within the insurance industry
- 3+ years of financial, underwriting, and actuarial experience within a brokerage firm or commercial health insurance plan
Pay and Benefits
Pay is based on several factors, including local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. The salary for this role will range from $xx,xxx to $xx,xxx annually based on full-time employment. This role is also eligible to receive bonuses based on sales performance.
