Job Summary
Christian Brothers Services is seeking a Director of Account Management within its Health Solutions team. Health Solutions delivers comprehensive health and wellness benefits to Catholic member organizations. In this role, you will lead a team of Account Managers focused on building strong, trusted relationships with member organizations while supporting organizational growth and mission-aligned results.
The Director acts as a trusted advisor to members, brokers, and key partners promoting collaboration, transparency, and education in line with Christian Brothers Services mission.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of account managers and client service professionals
Establish performance expectations, conduct regular coaching, and complete formal performance reviews; address performance issues as they arise
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and client-centered service excellence
Ensure appropriate staffing models, workload balance, workflow management, and succession planning within the department and ensure knowledge of industry trends, policy changes, and competitive landscape
Guide the development and execution of multi-year strategies, renewal planning, and risk management approaches in partnership with clients to ensure retention goals are met
Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities across products (e.g., medical, dental, vision, wellness programs) and divisions (risk, retirement, consulting) and Partner with underwriting and other teams as needed to ensure growth and retention goals are met
Lead development and execution of the Health Solutions business development strategy, including target segments, priorities, and annual growth objectives
Oversee the end-to-end new business pipeline, including qualification standards, pursuit strategy, forecasting, and performance metrics
Direct go-to-market execution and partner/channel development, aligning cross-functional teams on solutions, pricing, messaging, and sales enablement
Establish and monitor sales performance metrics (e.g., pipeline health, conversion rates, win/loss drivers) and adjust strategy to improve results
Oversee all relationships providing proactive service and serve as key contact for select accounts
Ensure proactive communication, issue resolution, and overall client satisfaction
Identify and implement best practices and continuous improvement of account management processes, tools, templates, and client deliverables
Collaborate with operations, claims, and customer service teams to ensure seamless service delivery
Ensure account management activities comply with applicable regulations and standards, including ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, and fiduciary best practices
Utilize CRM and other systems and data analytics to track performance and inform decision-making
Monitor client retention, satisfaction, service delivery metrics, and operational KPIs
Support financial sustainability by aligning account strategies with pricing models, underwriting assumptions, and cost trends
Identify risks, opportunities, and patterns within the book of business and recommend corrective or strategic actions
Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning related to account management initiatives
Support preparation and delivery of materials for clients, brokers, boards and others as needed
Desired Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
15+ years of progressive experience in health plan account management or client services
3–5+ years of people management experience, preferably leading senior-level professionals
Experience with multi-employer trusts, Taft-Hartley plans, or non-profit health plan environments
Familiarity with healthcare analytics
Experience working with religious, nonprofit, or mission-driven organizations

Compensation & Benefits
The applicable base salary range for this role is $170,000 to $220,000. The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
