Director Nurse | Obstetrics, Full-Time

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements policies and procedures for the Obstetrics department.
• Manages payroll, staffing, departmental statistics, and productivity reporting.
• Budgeting and performance evaluations for the department.
• Mandated employee training and competency development.
• Recruiting and hiring new employees.
• Solving personnel issues.
• Supports customer service and survey initiatives.
• Maintains a positive work environment.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory standards.
• Provides nursing care as needed.
• Reviews literature for advancements in nursing practice.
• Uses nursing theory to guide care delivery.
• Projects a professional image.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current Ohio RN license.
• Two years of supervisory nursing experience in Obstetrics.
• Continuously certified in American Heart Association’s BLS and NRP.
• Completes 24 CE hours annually.
• Maintains continuous certification in Ohio Board of Nursing.
