Responsibilities

  • Lead a selection of clients, ensuring strategic alignment of account team recommendations with client objectives and fostering trust with senior client stakeholders, while partnering with internal leadership to address escalations and facilitate timely issue resolution.
  • Proactively identify high-value moments to present, connect, and meet with key client stakeholders to build and maintain strong relationships, provide insight, and influence change.
  • Oversee client onboarding, offboarding, and account transitions, ensuring seamless experiences and maximizing account potential through the introduction of new ideas, strategies, and growth opportunities.
  • Ensure accurate and efficient delivery of Email & SMS operations requirements (tracking and deliverability), and partner with other agency teams to provide best-in-class guidance for clients where needed.
  • Provide timely feedback, coaching, and evaluation of team members' goals and tasks, conducting weekly 1:1 meetings to offer ongoing support, ensuring adherence to scorecard tasks, managing client relationships, delivering best-in-class products, fostering team building, and facilitating career growth through clear goal-setting, feedback loops, and educational development.
  • Maintain certifications and stay updated on industry trends and best practices through continuous learning initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with Pod Leader and Directors across the organization to achieve financial targets and objectives, ensuring efficiency with staffing plans and allocations as well as client margin.
  • Stay at the forefront of industry, consumer, platform, and relevant vertical trends. Implement cutting-edge tactics and technologies. Drive innovative ideas and approaches to enhance campaign effectiveness and bring true value to clients.
  • Develop and steer high-level client education strategies that reinforce the organization’s value proposition, fostering deep client relationships and enhancing their ability to achieve success through advanced Email & SMS techniques.
  • Maintain and apply an in-depth knowledge of market developments, emerging trends, and best practices of the client’s business and the industry overall to enhance client strategies and recommendations.
  • Oversee the integration and optimization of all lifecycle marketing channels, ensuring their strategic alignment and effective contribution to a holistic, data-driven Email, SMS, in-app, push, and more marketing strategies that enhance customer engagement, loyalty, and lifetime value at scale.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in Email & SMS Marketing roles with a proven track record of executing successful campaigns.
  • 3-4 years of management experience.
  • Expertise in at least one ESP, one SMP, and overlay/real-time content/onsite messaging vendors (bonus if it’s Klaviyo, Braze, Iterable, or SFMC).
  • Demonstrated success analyzing data and using analytics tools to drive marketing decisions.
  • Advanced computer skills including Google Suite, Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively across clients, multiple partner relationships, and internal initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with external and internal teams.

Pay

The hiring salary range for this role is $125,000 - $140,000 plus a discretionary performance bonus. Hiring salaries are determined through interviews and a review of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant, parity with other team members, and alignment with market data.
