Responsibilities

• Oversees and directs the development, planning, implementation, maintenance, and transition of specific information systems and services.
• Oversees the design and installation of systems and directs their operation and maintenance.
• Responsible for planning, budgeting, rates, staff development, and supervision as appropriate.
• Assists with setting the strategic direction for information strategy, systems, and services.
• Oversees and directs specific information systems and services to support University business continuity and day-to-day operations.
• Organizes and directs departmental activities, including hiring, disciplining, or discharging subordinates.
• Evaluates performance, recommends salary adjustments, and initiates personnel actions.
• Plans and implements training programs.
• Establishes policies and procedures for IT systems and services.
• Employs technical and administrative expertise to develop specifications for information systems and services aligned with University objectives.
• Keeps abreast of trends and technical developments through self-study, seminars, courses, conferences, and vendor liaison.
• May represent the University in local, state, and national organizations and initiatives.
• Manages administrative services related to specific University-wide information systems and services, including budgeting and billing.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of relevant experience, including previous managerial experience, required.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
