Director, HCM Applications

For our client, we are seeking a Director, HCM Applications to join the team of a leader in the Hospitals & Medical Centers space. This leader will oversee the strategic direction of the HCM applications function and ensure technology solutions support the broader human resources agenda. The role will lead enterprise HCM systems work across talent management and recruiting while partnering closely with HR and other stakeholders to improve service delivery and organizational effectiveness. It is a highly visible leadership position that combines application ownership, vendor management, and process improvement within a healthcare environment. The selected individual will also guide configuration, optimization, implementation, and change management efforts for HCM technology initiatives. Success in the role will depend on building strong cross-functional relationships, maintaining service expectations with technology partners, and driving continuous improvement across people systems and related processes. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $125,000+ annually Responsibilities Provide strategic direction and leadership for the HCM Applications team Serve as the lead for cloud HCM applications, including Talent Management and Recruiting Partner with Human Resources to align technology solutions with business priorities Oversee configuration and optimization of HCM applications and third-party products Manage vendor relationships and service-level expectations for HCM technology partners Guide implementation and change management activities with cross-functional teams Promote continuous improvement and identify opportunities to enhance HCM processes Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Human Resources, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent experience considered 7+ years of experience in enterprise HCM applications, ideally in healthcare or large organizations 3+ years of leadership experience managing application teams or technology projects Preferred certifications in cloud HCM or relevant project management/IT service management qualifications Understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to HCM systems Benefits Opportunities for professional development and growth Collaborative work environment with a focus on innovation Benefits package that supports employee wellness and work-life balance Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
