About the role

As a Director Global Application Marketing in the Customer Collaboration and Technical Marketing team, you will work closely with customers to enable them to transform Infineon’s products into cutting-edge designs while building lasting partnerships that drive success. The role focuses on defining and executing a global strategy for human-machine interface (HMI) solutions by leveraging Infineon’s capabilities in sensing, connectivity, compute, graphics, and complete application software to create differentiated solutions for consumer, smart home and building, appliances, medical, robotics, and adjacent growth markets.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and orchestrate the global HMI strategy in partnership with product lines, regional organizations, sales, engineering, software, and business leadership.
  • Create a clear, compelling, and distinctly Infineon HMI value proposition for internal and external audiences.
  • Evaluate customer system requirements and identify high-value combinations of Infineon hardware, software, and architecture capabilities for each priority market, application, and strategic customer, including complete application software as a key differentiator.
  • Set funnel targets by market, region, and customer; review progress with regional teams; identify gaps; and drive corrective action.
  • Participate directly in strategically important design-win pursuits, particularly when cross-product-line coordination is required.
  • Build customer intimacy through technically substantive engagement with customer engineering, system architecture, and executive teams; gain early access to roadmaps; lead joint concept workshops; and participate directly in critical opportunities.
  • Influence product and software roadmaps by translating system requirements, customer use cases, market trends, and competitive insight into technically grounded capability recommendations.
  • Define the technical and commercial intent for reference designs, demonstration platforms, system-solution concepts, customer proofs of concept, tradeshow demonstrations, and supporting technical and sales content.
  • Develop strategic ecosystem partnerships when external capabilities are needed to complete solutions or accelerate commercial success.

Requirements

  • 15 or more years of relevant experience, including leadership roles in product marketing, application engineering, business development, systems engineering, or a combination of these disciplines.
  • Direct experience with HMI products, technologies, or markets.
  • Ability to engage at a detailed technical level with customer and internal engineering teams, connect application requirements to system architecture, and recognize practical implementation constraints.
  • Demonstrated success leading global, cross-functional initiatives and working through matrix organizations.
  • Strong technical fluency across embedded hardware, software, and system architecture, with the ability to evaluate tradeoffs, identify meaningful differentiation, and constructively challenge technical and commercial assumptions.
  • Experience defining software-enabled solutions and a practical understanding of software architecture, integration requirements, development environments, and the role of application software in customer adoption.
  • A record of building qualified opportunity funnels, converting opportunities into design wins, creating go-to-market strategies, and developing differentiated value propositions.
  • Executive-level communication skills and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into compelling strategic and customer value narratives, influence across cultures and functions, and resolve conflict constructively.
  • Experience developing technical and marketing talent.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical or business discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Semiconductor-industry experience.
  • Experience in at least two target markets, such as consumer, smart home and building, appliances, medical, robotics, or related HMI growth markets.
  • Experience connecting semiconductors, embedded-system, system-architecture, and complete application-software capabilities into integrated customer solutions.

Pay

  • Austin, TX, United States: US$ 182,300 – US$ 250,700
  • San Jose, CA, United States: US$ 201,100 – US$ 276,500
  • In addition, all employees will be eligible to participate in an incentive plan.
