Role Summary

The Brand Director, Global Marketing Rare is responsible for defining and driving the global brand strategy for OXLUMO and GIVLAARI, ensuring alignment from global vision through local execution. This role leads cross-functional collaboration to deliver impactful, insight-driven strategies and tactics that maximize patient impact, stakeholder engagement and commercial performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead development of OXLUMO and GIVLAARI global brand plans
  • Ensure strong connection between global strategy and local execution, leading cross-country/functional workshops
  • Leverage market research, competitive intelligence, and data analytics to inform plans and regularly assess the business performance
  • Evolve messaging and strategy based on new insights
  • Translate strategy into global tactical plans and priorities
  • Owns overall tactical planning process for Rare Business in partnership with medical affairs, key functions and the countries
  • Develop annual global budget and highlight trade-offs and priorities
  • Develop a global stakeholders engagement plan, in partnership with Medical Affairs, Advocacy and the countries, legal and compliance, including the development of the Leadership engagement plan
  • Lead Global Conference plans in partnership with medical affairs, countries and communications
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner closely with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Digital, Data and Insights teams to enable successful implementation of key global initiatives
  • Orchestrate key global initiatives acting as the central point of integration across functions (medical, regulatory, legal, compliance, others)
  • Own Brand Board and Program initiatives

Qualifications

  • More than 10 years of experience in global and U.S. pharmaceutical/biotech marketing
  • MBA in Marketing preferred
  • Strong strategic thinking with proven execution capabilities
  • Experience leading cross-functional global teams
  • Deep understanding of rare disease markets is a must-have
  • Strong communication and stakeholder influence skills
  • Strong project management skills
