Director for Sweeny Hospital

About the Role

Luby's Culinary Services is seeking a Director to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Sweeny Hospital location. This role is responsible for revenue, expenses, profitability, compliance with operational standards, accounting, and administrative aspects. The Director will manage, coach, develop, and lead a team while building and maintaining relationships with colleagues, clients, and customers. Candidates must align with our Mission Statement and uphold professional relationships.

Responsibilities

• Ensure operational excellence by resolving daily issues promptly without direct supervision.
• Act as a role model for core values and challenge others to uphold them.
• Develop staff and provide constructive feedback.
• Take personal responsibility for correcting customer or client service problems to achieve 100% satisfaction.
• Exemplify the mission to increase culinary expertise, earning trust and exceeding stakeholder expectations.

• Keep clients consistently informed of any changes, issues, or challenges.
• Maintain a working knowledge of basic financial aspects, including P&L statements, cost impact on profitability, sales, and management compensation.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree.
• Minimum 5 years of successful contract food service management experience, with knowledge of Hospital Food Service and Nutrition Operations.
• Excellent financial, budgetary, and accounting skills.
• Experience in client relationship management.
• Strong analytical and planning skills.
• Ability to effectively teach, train, manage, and lead a team.
• Working knowledge of P&L statements, cost impact on profitability, sales, and management compensation.
• Positive and professional attitude.
• Must meet U.S. work eligibility requirements and be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have independent, reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
