Director of Hospitalist Medicine
Position Summary
This role is for a physician who wants to practice through providing compassionate, patient centered care. The incumbent will maintain timely, accurate and detailed medical records using EPIC, lead a team of physicians, advanced practice providers for a 24/7 hospitalist medicine team, prescribe medication or therapy when necessary, recommend lifestyle changes as appropriate to improve quality of life, explain all medical procedures thoroughly, explain test results and provide patients with a plan of care details, consult with other doctors as appropriate about patient's specific needs, serve on hospital Medical Staff and related committees when requested, seek to improve patient satisfaction scores and team member goals, participate in business development and marketing activities to grow the business.
Physical Requirements
- Requires stooping, sitting, standing, and walking for long periods of time
- Frequent assistance lifting patients and heavy equipment
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment, work independently, make sound decisions, be detail oriented, be alert, and be self-motivated
- Ability to push/pull up to 40lbs, carry and lift up to 50lbs

- In-service and health requirements including attendance at new employee orientation
